When we first built Mahai’s solar system, I worried constantly about running out of power.

Coming from a world where electricity seems limitless, the idea of relying entirely on the sun felt risky. For a long time, I considered installing a generator as a backup. It seemed safer. More reliable.
But over time, something unexpected happened.
Instead of adding more power sources, we simply began adjusting how we used the energy we already had. Laundry ran during sunny hours. Appliances were used thoughtfully. We paid attention to the rhythm of sunlight.
Slowly, I began to realize something surprising: the sun provides an incredible amount of energy. The real challenge wasn’t the amount of power available—it was our habits.
Living on solar power has gently shifted how we think about energy. Instead of assuming unlimited consumption, we now pay attention to the natural cycles that sustain us.
And the truth is, we never run out of power.
What once felt like a limitation has become something else entirely: a reminder that when we live in alignment with natural systems, we often discover that there is more than enough.
